Arctic Weather during our Arctic Animals Week

The weather this week certainly reflected our theme of Arctic Animals! Monday we learned about penguins and  made a project that included counting out the number of fish each penguin had to eat.

 

 

 

We watercolored a Northern Lights background and added polar bears on Tuesday. Watercoloring is a great activity for calming kiddos, so if your child is making you crazy on these days we’re trapped inside, break out the paints!!

Wednesday we learned about husky sled dogs and made a husky puppet. It required lots of parts and direction following. We wrapped up the week by making ourselves into Eskimos.

Since we couldn’t make it outside much this week, we did lots of movement indoors. Websites such as www.gonoodle.com provide lots of fun videos to move to. You can also find tons of Just Dance videos on Youtube.

 

Please continue to send all winter gear because we will go out whenever it’s “warm” enough.
