AT HOME LEARNING DURING SOCIAL DISTANCING

Hi families,  we miss you all and hope you are staying healthy, happy and safe during this very difficult and unknown time.  Here are some optional things you may like to have on hand to keep our little 4K friends busy and learning.  These are NOT required.  The best thing to do is read together... but is always nice to have more.

We have created packets that you can drive up and pick up outside the 4K door (ziploc bag for each student, alphabetical order-PLEASE CLOSE LID WHEN DONE) for some at home learning.  If you need supplies such as glue, scissors, crayons, markers, etc.  please email me at 4k@creativeartsclass.net.  We can get them in the box for you.  There are some books to read with your child, they are more than welcome to create or use the books to whatever meets your family needs.  There are some letter activities and number matching cards as well.
We had already prepped for this first week of our social distancing, so we enclosed these projects as well.
Have your child glue recycling and garbage bin to paper. Cut apart recyclables and garbage and glue under the correct flap.
Cut strips into individual community helpers and create a 3 part pattern.
Use this blank postcard to create a picture on one side then mail it to your self or a family/friend who would love the message.

I am also including some great FREE websites to make learning at home

Community Helper

It was an interesting week talking about our community helpers and what we want to be when we grow up.
We talked about the dentist and dental assistant.  Brush our teeth with toothpaste for 2 minutes at least twice a day, and don't forget the floss.
We created bakers and made cookies.  These are decorating the classroom but look ahead to see our creations individually.

We were animal doctors, or vets taking care of our dog and cat.  This was hard work looking at letters and finding all the matches, then we did numbers too!

Thursday we talked about fire fighters, nurse/doctor, police officer and mail carriers and the tools they use.  We then sorted the books on the shelves like a librarian does.
