Here's what we've been doing...

The week of February 15th we learned about barnyard animals. We made a pig headband one day and a chicken life cycle the next day.
Then we created cows by dropping paint onto one half of the cow's body and pressing the paper in half to create symmetrical spots. We added the rest of the cow's body parts and the heard is grazing in our hallway.
We had several farm sets out to play with too!
Last week we learned about art and made beautiful pieces that are currently on display at the Edgerton Library until Friday morning. Just in case you aren't able to make it there, we have included a quick slideshow of our exhibit.

This week we began our unit on Community Helpers. We even have an airport area right in our classroom! We also have lots of little people transportation sets out to fly, drive, ride a train, etc. to imaginary destinations.

We have emergency personnel gear in the dramatic play area and have been rescuing fellow citizens.
There is now pvc piping in our science area, which we use to build all sorts of sculptures. There is also a fun foam and golf tee building set!

Projects this week included a bakers hat and rainbow chip cookie, a doctor’s bag, a stop light, and a garbage & recycling sort. We’ll cover even more community helpers next week leading up to our
Career Dress-Up Day on Thursday, March 10th.

Remember we do NOT have school on Monday!!
