We were definitely BRAVE this week. Creating MONSTERS are so much fun, mummies, goons, ink blot and monsters. So much fun learning about circles, cutting, coloring and painting.
Our costume party was a hit. Enjoy your trick or treating!!!!

Apples & Pumpkins continued
It was a super short week. We made the most of it though. We read Spookley the Square Pumpkin and created our own spookley versions and we tried a 3 part pattern. THIS WAS HARD! We practice every day with our calendar and we will continue to all year. You can practice at home too. We helped most our friends many times to get these results. IT is HARD! We are smart cookies though and we will get this.

Picking Apples & Pumpkins and Hermanson's Pumpkin Patch
Fall is upon us and we have enjoyed our time learning about the pumpkin growth cycle, apple parts and a fabulous, wet trip to the pumpkin patch. If a picture is worth a 1,000 words this week was busy. SO MANY PICTURES!!

Fire Safety
This week we talked all about fire safety! On Monday we made a firetruck of our very own. We talked about the different shapes that are on a fire truck. These are now decorating our hallway!
On Tuesday we colored a Dalmatian Dog. We drew circles and colored them in solidly.
Wednesday the Fire Fighters came and talked about fire safety. Be sure to see the website for photos of this fun event!! Are your smoke detectors working—check monthly!
· What is an emergency? When to dial 9-1-1
· Get out and STAY OUT!
· Have fire extinguishers available
· Crawl on the ground, smoke rises
· Have a meeting place outside where you can meet safely. Practice your plan.
· Close before you doze
· NEVER play with fire, matches, or lighters
· NEVER EVER, hide from fire fighters! YELL, I am HERE.
And on Thursday we did our color page for our color book. We made a fire hat that we can wear too!
