His & Her Majesty

Monday was a relaxing day back watercolor painting dragons pictures, from our story The Knight and the Dragon.  We also read, Who Wants a Dragon?  Tuesday our morning class had regular class time but our afternoon was dismissed due to the incoming snow storm.  The morning class kiddos made knight shields.  Wednesday, we all had the day off.  We hope everyone enjoyed some snow fun!  Thursday we had our royal dress up day and made sure to get outside play in the snow before the temperature drops and it is too cold to get out.

Royal Eats

This week we started our book, The Knight and the Dragon. What happens when a sheepish knight and a not-so-fierce dragon fight for the very first time? Well, it?s no ordinary battle since the knight has to go to the castle library to learn about dragon-fighting and the dragon must dig through his ancestors things to find out how to fight a knight!  After realizing they are not fighters they decide to become friends and open a restaurant.  We have enjoyed being chefs, waitress, waiters, customers, etc...  Hope you enjoy a look at our dramatic play this week.

Let it Snow and We are Frozen

Welcome Back and Happy New Year.   We have enjoyed hearing all about your winter break adventures.

This week we talked about the Arctic.   On Monday we painted the Northern Lights with polar bears.  These are up in our room but we sure enjoyed water colors.

Wednesday  we built our finger strength by tearing paper strips to create penguins.  These are decorating the hallway.

Thursday was exciting to cut, stretch, glue to make Eskimos in parkas.

Friday fun day we made snowmen.  We cut the big circle and stacked them up from big to small.
