And the GREEN Grass grows all around and around. We planted grass "hair" last week to start our planting week. It has definitely grown. We may need to trim soon. It also, related nicely to our Billy Goats Gruff unit. The goats had to cross that bridge to get to the sweet green grass. WATCH out for the Grumpy Old Troll, who lives under the bridge!
It finally feels like spring out there! We took lots of pics, BUT someone forgot to put the memory card in. OOPS! A few from our phone.
Last, week during our Nurture and Growing unit we also planted some beans. Here is one that has taken off! We have a few more we started later so hopefully, next week we can see those.

Nurture and Grow
We are growing up so fast. This week we planted seeds-grass, beans and more. We have them in our science area to see the sprouts, stem, leaves and more.
On Tuesday, we made a a flower and label the parts of a flower.
Wednesday the AM class made a garden and talked about the vegetables that we can grow and eat. We discussed the veggies that grow on top of the soil, and the ones that grow in the bottom of soil.
The PM class did not have class due to the weather. Let's hope it's our last snow day.
Thursday we looked at Garden Gnomes and made some for our classroom.

Wrangling up some fun from the South West.
On Monday, we created Armadillo mosaics. We sent them home in red folders for families to enjoy. Tuesday we colored and then fork painted cactus.
On Wednesday we created cowboy hats the cowpokes could wear. and on Thursday we retold the story of The Three Little Pigs.
And of course, we dressed up and had a real fun end to our unit. Enjoy the photos....

The Three Javelina's in the South West
It has been a rootin' tootin' good time getting back to school after our spring break. If only, the weather would make us feel a bit more like spring! There are a lot of exciting new items in the room for our South West unit.
We of course, have horses, meet Butterscotch and S'mores. We are enjoying dressing up as cowfolk and riding. We have a miniature horse barn, with horses, trucks, and fencing. Some dessert sand, with snakes and cactus. "Skulls", snakes, armadillos, javelina's, from the west. We are also learning about the cousins to the coyote and javelina-wolf and pig. So, naturally we have those in the classroom as well. Enjoy some playtime learning and fun.
