Royal Dress Up Party

Wonderful way to wrap up our Royalty and Royal Restaurant.  We made costumes, dressed up, took pictures, played and just had a great time.  Class pictures are in red folders too!

STEM Family Outreach Activity

We had a fun time at the Elementary School STEM Lab.  It was so nice of Mrs. (Sheila) Fox to share her classroom with us.  We had magnet fun, marble maze building, lego wall work, Fairy Tale rebuilds, and Rig-a-ma-jig exploration.  Thank you everyone who made it.  All your kiddos will have the opportunity to explore the lab with even more activities when the head up to the "BIG SCHOOL".

Royal Week of Fun!

This week was an exciting week of dress up and dramatic play with our tower tents, dress up clothes and several restaurants-Chinese food, Italian and subs and a Mexican restaurants.  On Monday, we had another snow day, but we will make those Dragons at our dress up royal party next Thursday.  Tuesday we colored and cut our Knight Shields, then on Wednesday-more patterning on our crowns.  Thursday we reviewed shapes and colors with our castles we brought home.

We had a fun week of Arctic Animals.  On Tuesday, we made Eskimo pictures with our own pictures as the faces.  We had to work hard on coloring, stretching cotton balls to make the fur on our parkas and gluing.  Then on Wednesday we painted the Northern Lights, and added polar bear silhouettes,  how beautiful... They are currently decorating our room with our Eskimos.  Thursday morning we worked on tearing paper to make penguins.  Afternoon class, had a snow/ice day.  Friday we had some belly time putting together a husky.  Great week, we even were able to play outside in the snow before the rain melted it all.

Don't forget NO SCHOOL on Monday, January 8, but we do have school on Friday, January 12

It has been so much fun hearing about what everyone did and received over the winter break.  Many fun stories have been shared about the week off.
