We Heart This Week

Monday we made a pattern with hearts. We made a special valentine for you on Tuesday. Each one is completely unique and made with love. :) Wednesday we made a collage with different sized, colored, and shaped hearts. It’s so fun to do projects like this that allow everyone to create something similar yet different.

We had a great time on Thursday passing out our Valentine’s to each other.

Everyone’s mailboxes were decorated so wonderfully!

We also played a bunch of friendship-themed games including bingo with pictures of all our friends!!!

Can you smell what we've got cooking?

We enjoyed our short week after our long weekend. This week we talked about foods around the world. We have three restaurant play areas in our classroom: Mexican, Italian & Chinese.

We made a shape taco on Tuesday-our Mexican day.  We like using fun ways to reinforce colors, shapes and numbers!! Wednesday we made a pizza counting/matching game for our Italian-themed day. Did you play it with your child yet? Simply choose a pizza slice from the bag and find the match on the pizza. Chinese was our theme on Thursday and we made fortune cookies. We selected a fortune to put inside and laced it up.

Next week are back to our regularly-scheduled 4 day, Monday-Thursday week. Yay!!

A Royaly Fun Time!

We enjoyed being royal this week. Monday we read about The Knight and the Dragon and created a dragon of our own.
We worked on our fine-motor skills when we used paper tearing to decorate a knight’s shield which even has it’s own emblem. On Wednesday we made fancy crowns featuring a three-part pattern.

We wrapped up the week on Thursday with our Royal Tea Party that we dressed up in royal attire. We created a castle picture frame and put in a photo of ourselves in royal clothing. There are more photos on our gallery page too.
